Common questions

Why does air quality say "Moderate" for a pollutant that seems low?
Each pollutant — PM2.5, PM10, ozone, NO₂, SO₂, and CO — has its own concentration thresholds, since they affect the body differently. A pollutant can be "Moderate" even while the overall AQI number looks fine, which is exactly why Pure Air breaks each one out individually instead of showing a single number.

Why is my city's data missing or blank?
Pure Air needs a network connection to fetch fresh weather and air-quality data from Open-Meteo. If you're offline, the app shows your last cached reading with an "as of" timestamp — pull to refresh once you're back online.

Why don't I see a Sea Level & Waves card?
That card only appears for coastal cities where marine data actually exists — it's hidden automatically for inland locations.

How do I switch between US and European AQI?
Use the segmented control at the top of the Air tab, or set your default under Settings → Air Quality Standard.
